MEN'S SHED

Welcome to the Australian Men's Shed Association.

Established in 2007 by the Australian independent community based Men's Sheds to represent, support and promote the Mens Shed Movement and to act as a central hub for information exchange.

The Australian Mens Shed Association is a member based organisation founded on the principle of sharing information freely between Sheds and those communities and organisations wishing to establish a Shed.
AMSA is a charitable not-for-profit association and is registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient.  AMSA as the peak body representing Mens Sheds in Australia provides free practical support and assistance. With over 500 Mens Sheds registered AMSA is now the largest Association in Australia focussed on male health and well-being.

The Early Days Online Workshop for Fathers is now available.

The final two Early Days online workshops are now available - one specifically for dads, and the other focusing on managing sleep issues.

1.       "They say my child has autism” – a workshop for fathers
This workshop has been designed specifically for fathers of young children who have, or are suspected to have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. In particular, this workshop is for fathers who were unable to attend the Early Days Introductory face-to-face workshop which covers much of the same material.

DADS AUSTRALIA

DADS are here to help each other

Ever feel a little isolated as a father? Feel a need for a little supportive companionship? Or do you feel lost as a father because of some circumstance, like being a stay-at-home dad, or a widowed dad, or a stepdad?
Then you may want to join a DADS group where you will find a supportive network of men working together and building positive futures for people who have a disability or health issue in our lives and families.
The idea of DADS
  • Men can and will make a difference and help with changes to create a more productive life for people with a disability or health problem.
  • A network of dads and other men who experience a common bond by sharing the problems they face in everyday life. It is also a place to share concerns and frustrations and find ideas to help in your own circumstances.
  • Or just make new friends and find support for each other by sharing experiences whenever needed.
